Essential Care Physiotherapy requires a minimum of 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel your appointment. This provides the practice with an opportunity to offer the appointment to other clients if possible.
If you fail to attend the practice and do not cancel your appointment, we may charge you $40 on the first occasion and $60 on all occasions after that.
If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you may be charged $20 on the first occasion. If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, we will try to provide you with an alternative appointment time on your scheduled day of service (if one is available) in order to avoid the cancellation fee being charged.
After more than one failure to attend or late cancellation, we may charge you the full cost of the treatment. If you fail to attend any appointments, all future appointments may be canceled requiring you to reschedule.
If you do cancel and cannot attend that day at all, the late notice cancellation fee will be removed if Essential Care Physiotherapy is able to fill the allocated appointment slot. However, it is best to give as much notice as possible to avoid potential cancellation fees.
Motor Accident Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance does not generally cover charges for non-attendance. These charges will need to be met by the client.
We ask clients to make every effort to keep their scheduled appointments to avoid us having to turn other clients away when we are fully booked and thank you for your consideration.
